Lincoln Drama and Music Festival Barbershop Class Winners
We are really pleased to have won the Barbershop Class of the Lincoln Drama and Music Festival. The competition took place at the Central Methodist Church at Lincoln on Friday night (18th March 2022) and we competed against Harmony Lincs and the Major Oak Chorus.

We sang two songs, 'Blue Skies' by Irvin Berlin and 'Make You Feel My Love' by Bob Dylan and performed recently by Adele. Quite contrasting both in style and era and also reflecting our eclectic repertoire..

So our name goes on the trophy for the second time. The first time was 2020 when it was our fist ever public performance and just before Covid locked us away. Now we add our name for our second ever performance.

Hpeefully we will be singing again for the public quite soon. We are so ready to meet you all.

  • Our first in-person rehearsal for 17 months!

Last night (26th July) we rehearsed in-person for the first time in 17 months!

We met outdoors in the playground of our usual venue. Luckily the weather was good, the sky was blue, the sun was shining and our singing was full of joy, and very reasonable considering we haven't sung together for so long!

We live streamed the rehearsal on our closed members' only Facebook page for those who couldn't be with us.

We will continue to meet outdoors in a safe and socially distanced manner for the time being, unless National circumstances change.

  • Our open Zoom rehearsal - a resounding success!

On Monday 22nd we hosted an open rehearsal, where we invited participants to learn part of a song and rehearse with us, see how we operate, and just get to know us.

On the evening we had 70 people on our Zoom session, with guests from across the UK, Europe and even Nashville! We warmed up, we sang a tag, we rehearsed a section of Freddy Mercury's "Love of my Life", and made time to chat.

The whole team was involved in setting up the evening, and our Zoom mistress Tash masterfully made sure everybody was in the right place and the right time!

We also debuted two performance recordings: an audio compilation of Make You Feel My Love, and a video compilation of Pentatonix's Sing, brilliantly put together by Jo. You can see and hear those performances if click HERE to go to our "Listen" page.

We've already had great feedback, and we are thankful for everybody who gave up their time to come and see us. We can't wait to meet back in person now, the end is in sight!

Another lockdown treat for you, this time our rendition of Pentatonix's "Sing"

This has been fabulously mixed by Adrian and Jo, and we're especially proud of this.

Hope you get as much enjoyment listening to this as we had making it!

Another lockdown recording, this time a Barbershop arrangement of "How High the Moon".

Once again members learned and recorded their part, this time skillfully mixed by Adrian.

We enjoy singing this, we know you'll enjoy listening to it! We can't wait to be able to get back together to sing it in person.

During lockdown we've been learning a SATB arrangement of the Beatles classic "Blackbird".

Members of Pitch and Mix then recorded their parts, and Jo brilliantly mixed it to produce this track for your enjoyment!
